Position Overview:
As a Personal Support Worker (PSW), you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to individuals in need, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from illness or injury. You will assist with activities of daily living, provide companionship, and promote independence and well-being.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a recognized Personal Support Worker program

• Previous experience working as a PSW or in a similar role preferred

• Compassionate and empathetic demeanor with a genuine desire to help others

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Valid CPR and First Aid certification

• Clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting

• Support clients with mobility and transfers, using assistive devices as needed

• Provide assistance with meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders

• Engage clients in meaningful activities and provide companionship and emotional support

• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks

• Document care provided and report any changes or concerns to supervisors

• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and holistic care
