Position Overview:

Qualifications:

• Diploma or certificate in Developmental Services or related field

• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of person-centered care principles

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities in accordance with their individualized support plans

• Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management

• Facilitate skill development and independence in areas such as communication, socialization, and daily living skills

• Promote community inclusion by facilitating participation in recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and social events

• Maintain accurate documentation of support provided and progress made by individuals

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated care and support
